Greater Noida's Greek-letter sector system. These are not informal names: the city has used Greek sector names since it was formed in 1991, Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, Omicron and Mu among them, with 1, 2 and 3 appended to those names, which is where a suffix such as Omicron 1A comes from. That naming is set out in an April 2022 press report hosted on the Government of Uttar Pradesh investment portal at invest.up.gov.in.
