The plain fact
When a promoter registers a project, they declare a completion date. If they later revise it, the new date is filed on the register as an extension. It is a lawful, routine entry. On the Gautam Buddha Nagar register, more than half of all projects carry at least one.
Not a finding of fault
An extension is not an admission of wrongdoing or a penalty. Projects run late for many reasons, approvals, funding, force majeure, and the law provides for revising the date on record. Reading an extension as a scandal is as wrong as ignoring it.
But the size is the signal
What is worth reading is how far the date has moved, and how many times. A three-month revision on a large township reads very differently from a project that has slipped its date four times across several years. Each project's own page on this site shows the date currently on file and the extensions recorded against it, so you can read one project's position for yourself.
Read it against the promoter
A single delayed project tells you little. The same promoter's wider record, how their other registrations have run, tells you a great deal. Every promoter page here carries that record: how many projects, how many delayed, and the average slip.
The honest way to use it
Confirm the registration, read the size and count of any extension, set it against the promoter's track record, then ask the questions a brochure will not answer. That is the whole method, and it is why this register exists.
